This article is designed to guide the reader through all phases of meditation from managing one daily activities to creating the right atmosphere for meditation, from actually attending t othe practice, to realizing and understanding the efforts of living meditation, also known as living in a state of permanent bliss, peace, happiness and contentment.
The leader teacher, found within creation gives us encouragement as we follow the Path. Controlling the mind makes you aware, is no small task. To withdraw one's consciousness and reach back to the level of Source is the most difficult and highest goal to achieve. So the leader teacher comforts us by providing insight into our plight. We are given a perspective to our journey as we are guided with effort at ever step of our Path back to Source.
The True leader teacher has the same message to give and the same teachings to impart. No True leader teacher, no perfect living True leader teacher, comes into this world to create a religion, to divide people, to set one nation against another or one religion against another. They come only to show us the way which leads us back to our Source. Afer a leader teacher goes, people generally turn to rites and rituals and give the teachings the form of an oreganised religion. Then we become bigoted and we start fighting and quarreling with one another and the real teachings of the True leader teachers are forgotton.
True leader teachers, do not come into this world of their own will, they are always appointed and sent by the Creative Power. By themselves, neither do they desire to preach, nor do they want to initiate anybody. Whenever the Creator wishes, the Creative Power sends a True leader teacher to collect chosen souls, the souls which have been given to them. They do not come to do their own personality will but to do the will of the Creative Power that sent them into the world. They are beyond both birth and death. They are compassionate and forgiving. They come to grant new life and grow committment and dedication to the work they came to do on earth and enable others to meet the Creative Power foundwithin.
They are born in the world in any country, race or position - it makes no difference. They come on a mission of forgiveness to liberate those from the sufferings of the world. The purpose of every True leader teacher, coming into this world is to liberate specific people, to put them on the Path of realizing the Creative Power, to give them comfort, to give them rest, and to take them back to their eternal Source, to the level of the Creator. We cannot attain everlasting peace, until we have reached the level of the Creator. The True leader teacher, puts specific people on the spiritual path and gives them certain teachings and guidWelines, regarding their spiritual practise and their conduct in the world.
WORLDLY RESPONSIBILITIES
The True leader teachers tell us that in order to realize the Creator, we do not need to undertake any external formalities, such as fasts, pilgrimages, and adopting a particular type of dress, or hair style, nor do they advocate that we withdraw from society or run away from world responsibilities.
By becoming a hermit you escape not your desires attachment and delusion. Infact, we have to do our duty as a citizen, as a husband, wife, a son, a brother, a friend. We should not be so obsessed by these duties and relatioships that we forget the real purpose of our life, our real destination. We have to keep our goal in view and follow the path which leads us back to our Source. Along with spiritual practise we must also continue to do our worldly responsibilities.
HOUSE OF THE LIVING CREATOR
True leader teachers do not ask us to go to anywhere to work for the Creator, because the Creator is not to be found outside. The Creator is found within the body. Your body, mind and emotions are the house of the living Creator. The people belong to the Creator, walking with them and is their leader. The power of the Creator lives within you, the house which is pure. Our attention can become the Creator again by merging it back into the Creative Power.
The Creator, is within each one of us, and naturally we have to seek the Creator within our body, mind and emotions.
HUMAN BIRTH IS INVALUABLE
The human form is a great gift. It has been called the top of the creation, superior t oall other forms of creation. Humans are made in the image of the Creator, and that all living beings are Creators in life.
The human form is granted t ous only after experiencing many lower species, giving us a rare chance to meet the Creator, found within. It is with our reasoning mind that we can explore and understand the Power of the Creator and be able to merge one's attention with the Creator and become the Creator of own life. The sole purpose of human existance, is to realize the Creator, and it is the only exit with which the Creator has provided to escape from the vast prison house of the phenomenal world. But we get so deeply engrossed in worldly activities and sensual pleasures that we completely ignore the purpose of the our existence and we chase the shadow and loose the power.
It is only the human birth that we have the possibility of attaining liberation. For it is as a human being alone that we can meet a perfect True living leader teacher, be told about the path wihin and follow the practice of the Word, unspoken and unwritten, which leads us to our ultimate goal.
THE TRUE NAME
We all talk of the Creator's Name, but fail to distinguish between the spoken or written word, and the true Word, which can neither be writeen or spoken. Names can be spoken and written, and their time and history can be traced. the true Name of the Creator, to which all True leaders and teachers refer, existed before time began. The whole universe including time and space, and everything we see was created by that Name, out of that Name.
There is no difference between the Word, the Name and the Creator. It is the Creative power that detaches the mind from the sensual pleasures and giving it spiritual bliss and of leading the attention to freedom. It is in the form of this Word that the Creator pervades the entire creation.
The Word is not to be found in books or scriptures, they only glorify it. But the Name itself is within us. True leader teachers, who in their time, realised the Creator within, have recorded in the spiritual texts their experiences and the particulars of the path, for our guidance. From them we come to know the difficulties on the path and obtain a clear conception of the ideal but we cannot realise the Creator by merely reading books or watching videos.
The important point is to realise the difference between the name of a thing and the things itself. we should not think that repetition of the word "food" will satisfy hunger. Mere reading of scriptures or listening to the teachings of the True leader teachers, is not enough. We must put the teachings into practice and travel the path ourselves.
THE CREATOR AND YOUR ATTENTION.
There is only one way to find our destination back to Source, and that is by seeking the Creator within the body. If we seek the Creator within we will find the same path, the path of sound and light. but if we search for the Creator outside, we find that everybody has his own path, leading perhaps nowhere.
Awareness or attention is called the soul, the essence of the Creator. In the beginning, it separated from its Creator and decended inteo this world of misery and suffering. Forgetting its Source, the soul teook the mind as its guide and companion. But the mind itself is under the sway of the senses. Whatever the senses desire, the mind dances to the tune of the sences. Whatever actions the mind commits under the senses influences, the soul, itself pure and stainless, must reap the consequences.
The True leader teachers well know our pitiful condition. They know that we live in delusion. So they come to reveal the true plight of the world. They tell us this is all the Creators play, that the Creator created everything. This play is set on a dream stage where nothing is real. Only that which is real is permanent. Yet we have come into this play and having forgotten our true heritage, thing this is our home, as we weep, crdy and laugh with one another. But when our debts caused by choice, for this life have been paid, we depart. We leave one anothers company after only a brief stay, having no lasting relatioship with anyone at all.
MIND AND SENSES
The True leader teachers, tell us that the mind is the greatest and the only obstacle in the way of realizing the Creator. It is ego centre, self-centred, separated from the Creator, pleasure loving and vain. It forgets that it's existence in the world is no more than a bubble that may burst at any minute, and that the body enclosing it will eventually perish. Its outward and downward tendencies keep it tied to the transient and evanescent objects of the world. Its actions, whether good or bad, only result in keeping the soul in the perpetual round of birth and rebirth.
Mind is the deadliest of foes, but the most useful of servants. When it turns wild against and gets out of control it heads for certain destruction. When properly awakened and controlled, there is no limit to what the mind can do. As a step towards liberation of the soul, turn the hostile mind into a friend.
In order to gain mastery of the mind and sences, we have to study its nature. Relentlessly and restlessly, the mind tries to experience and enjoy everything. But nothing seems to satisfy its ravenous hunger. The acquitition of wealth and power gives rise to endless desires. Our possessions become the master instead of being our slave. The passions gradually forge heavy chains around us, bind us to the baser things of the world and invariably harden our heart.
Though the mind is fond of pleasures, no single pleasure ever pleases it for all time. It gives up one pleasure as soon as it gets or sees a better one. Unless, therefore, it comes across something vastly superior to the pleasures it already has, it cannot be successfully weaned away from them. Otherwise, if it should become detached and find nothing to attach itself to, it would react and rebound, and go back to its pleasures and enjoyments with redoubled vigor.
There is no end to our desires and cravings, and we have to return to this world in order to fulfill them. Barely do we leave one body before another stands ready for us. Ceaselessly are we goaded by the invisible forces of Death. What sufferings do we not go through, what rapids and whilspools do we not face, what lashings of the mighty waves do we not encounter, what tempestuous storms and raging gales do we not have to struggle against. And ever succeeding link of the chain of our lives is stronger than the one that preceded it.
The realization of the deception of this drama comes only when we wake up - at the time of our death. The moment death closes upon us, everthing of this world, friends and relations, wealth and possessions, name and fame, caste and creed, is left behind. Only then do we realise that our time has just been wasted in illusion, in trying to make ours that which can never become ours. We nonetheless persist in taking this illusion as the ultimate reality, We continue to feel miserable and unhappy because our soul, being separated from Source, is perpetually yearning for its own Source.
The True leaders teachers constantly tell us that there is no lasting peace and happiness outside in this world. Instead of trying to find it outside, they say we must try to find that peace and happiness within ourself. It is not love for the transient, but love for the Eternal that will be our real succor, our true sustenance, for it alone will bring us lasting peace, both here and beyond.
CHOICE AND TRANSFORMATION
Many True leaders teachers descripe this world as a field of choices to which the attention pr awareness also called soul, has to return again and again to reap the fruits of its past actions. Deeds whether good or bad cannot release the attention from its captivity. The choices made bring the attention back to this world, into the realm of birth and death. We are brough back into those forms where we can best fulfill the results of our actions, our choices, all the while the attention continueing to suffer the anguish of separation from its Source. While we are completing those choices, we are also continually making new choices and as result, we continue to come and go, always remaining in the prisonhouse of this world.
Whatever choices we make without attachment of our attention to Source, we create actions that become our slaves, in other words we come bonded to those actions and have to pay the price for those actions. We are responsible to clear our choices, and all the seeds we have sown, because even a little thing can pull us backwards away from Source. We cannot return to Source until our credits and debts and account is cleared.
We can only return to Source when our attention merges back into Source, found within the body. We can only be at one with Source when we have been able to clear every action and deed we have committed whilst forgeting Source, in the past. Each birth we come carrying the weight of previous choices. Until our entire choice account is cleared, until our mind is clear, though Source is within everyone, the attention can never be free and at one with all, it cannot become one with Source. To experience we are of the essence of Source, we must forgive ourself and others. We must know what we have done; but our past actions have been completely forgotten and mere words of being sorery for our past actions are not sufficient. Souce energy is constantly resounding within each one of us, can only be contacted by going within, through the practise of meditaiton as instructed by a living True leader teacher, who does not charge for service to teach meditation.
JOURNEY OF THE SOUL
Our spiritual journey starts from the soles of our feet and goes up to the top of our head. In this body, the spiritual journey has two stages. first is up to the eye center and the second stage is from the eye centre to the top of the head.
In our body, the seat of the soul and the mind knotted together is at the eye center, in the wakeful state. From here, our consciousness is spread into the whole world. Even when we close our eyes we are not here , we are never still. Rather we find outselves thinking about the our worldly ambitions and worldly affairs about our relations or our daily activities. And about whomsoever we are thinking, their forms automatically appear before us. Therefore, by thinking, by contemplating on the forms of the world, our consciousness has spread outward into this world of illusion.
The home of the soul is at the eye centre not in the world and yet the mind seeks to make a home for the soul in this world when its true home is with Source, found within the body. Unless we withdraw our attention to the eye center, we cannot concentrate within and take even the first step of our spiritual journey homeward to Source.
The first step, is to withdraw our consciousness to the eye centre. Source is foundwithin. It is we who have kept our attention focussed outside in this world. We must knock from outside so that the door leading to our Home may be opened at the eye center. We have to withdrawal our consciousness from the world and bring it back to the eye centrer. We seek the path leading to our Home, Source, and once on that path we find Source. We finally merge in that One for whom we have been seeking.
The eye centre where we come in contact with the the voice of the Creator. Stop the mind from running out into the world through the sences and open the eye center which leads you to Source. There the inner frequency vibrations sound like music not of this world and you will find your attention bringing light and joy, freedom, beauty and balance, day and night , and through the instructions of the True leader teacher, you will be able to hear and see the voice and face of the Creator.
Unless through meditation, we withdraw to the eye focus, we can never be in teouch with that Source sound. But having once contacted it, we find that Sound Current so facinating, so charming and tempting, so captivating, that immediately we become attached to it and automatically we become detached from the senses.
When your full attention is at the eye centre, your whole body will become Light, and you will see the Light also known as wisdom and hear the voice of the Creator also known as the Sound Current ringing throughout the body.
With the help of that Light and Sound, we ascertain the direction of our Home and travel the Path leading there. By seeing that Light and hearing that Sound we are able to truely forgive ourselves for all our past actions we did in forgetfulness of our Creator thus releasing the attention from the snares of the mind. Then only can the attention once again become whole and shine its own light and travel back to Source to become absorbed in Bliss and everlasting peace.
When we are able to withdraw our consciousness to the eye center, our mind, just like a needle drawn to a magnet, catches that Sound whithin. When we are attached to that Sound coming from Silence, we are detached from the senses. Now the tendency of the mind is downward, towards the seneses. The senses are always pulling our mind down to their level. But when we are able to withdraw our mind to the eye center and attach it to the Spirit of Peace, the Sound, waithin us, that attachment automatically creates detachment from the mind and world.
By austerities, by disciplining the mind, it is impossible to withdraw permanently from the ssenses, for detachment cannot create attachment in anybody: only attachment ca ncreate detachment within us. When our mind is attached to that Sound within, it sees that Light within, automatically that attachment creates detachment from the senses and frees the mind. On hearing that Sound, the mind becomes calm and still. Thjrough a million other means, the stubborn mind refuses to yield. Only on contacting that Sound, Spirit of Peace wihin, does the mind become docile.
The method for withdrawing the consciousness to the eye center and joining it to the Word, that Sound within, is available only form an Adept, a True leader teacher, For such is the Creator's design, that though the treasure is within each one of us, it can be obtained only with the help of the Adepts who have themselves traversed the inner Path. The Creator has placed the key to the treasure in the hands of those committed service providers who do not charge for their service, the True leader teacher, who alone can impart the secret to us.
Let no one be under any illusion, without a True leader teacher, none can cross the oceon of existence.
THE LEADER TEACHER
Whatever we learn in the world, we have learned from a teacher. Even a child learns how to sit, eat, walk and talk through the guidance of his mother. He then goes to school and learns how to read and write from his schoolteachers; and later, to become a qualified enginer, doctor or technician, he has to undertake a long course of training under the supervision of a specialist in that particular field. Spirituality is a most difficult and intricate subject, where a teacher, a True leader teacher, is indispensable. We do not achieve anything in this world without a teacher or a guide. How can we realise the Creator without a spiritual teacher?
The True leader teacher, has transversed the inner realms and realised the Creator. The True leader teacher can alone tell us how to follow the Path and how to succeed in overcoming the many barriers and temptations of the inner journey. Whoever treads the Path without a True leader teacher, Master, is led astray by negative influences and falls into the well of illusion. It you do not take the protection of the master, then the call of the negative power will lead you astray.
A Master, actually means a living True leader teacher, which we need because we are not at the level of the Creator. Only somebody at our level can give us the way to go back to the Creator, Source: can fill us with the Creator's love and committment; put us on the Path; can guide us back to the Creator. It is necessary to go a Master because we cannot be at the level of the Creator, and the Creator in real radiant form cannot come to our level.
The living True leader teacher, however while being at one with the Creator, is also at our level. We can know the Path and merge back into the Creator, whilst living in this body.
The Masters of the past cannot carry out the task of taking us back to Source. Ad dead doctor cannot prescribe for our ailments today. We need a living doctor, teacher, who can speak to us, guide us, teach us and show us the Way. The True leader teacher is only the Light of the world whilst living in the world, for those who come in contact with the Master when is living can be liberated, and those who come after his time on earth, will have to find another living Master.
We can taste that bliss and uneffable state of being, by learning and practicing the method of going within the body from a True leader teacher, carry out the instructions of the Master, with love and committment and in the company of the Master, travel the homeward Path.
We are always influenced by the company we keep, The company of good people has a beneficial influence on us, as we try to be like them, but if we keep the company of bad people, we are influenced by their bad thoughts, and we go astray along with them. We need a Master to build that atmospher of committment around us, to inspire us to follow the Path and go within.
WORD MADE FLESH
Our real Master is the the Word, the Sound, that Power manifested in human form. We neeed someone in the human form who has merged into that Power, who is the "Word made flesh" and who can in teurn connect us with that Power within, and that someone is the living True leader teacher.
The relationship of the True leader teacher with the Creator is that of a wave with the ocean. The Creator, and the servants of the Creator are one and the same. The formless Power and the expressions of the Creator's Power manifested as the living Masters are the same. Just live the Masters are like waves that rise in the ocean and merge back into it again. Waves and ocean are one. The Creator has taken the form of a human being and has come to awaken the world.
The True leader teacher, through introducing the method of travelling the Path back to Source, connects your attention to the Sound within, and puts you on the Path to the Creator. The method is the rebirthing of the attention into the Sound within, to merge into the Creator. You must be born again, not physically but it is necessary to be introduced by a living True leader teacher who can connect you to the Sound current within. This is known as being born of the Spirit of Peace, or the living water, or the Bliss within.
The Sound is contacted at the eye center. Unless we get in touch with that Sound within ourselves, we always remain the victims of the mind and senses. Through practising the method of connecting to that Sound, we grow and grow to become one with the Creator.
The Master, in his radiant form, is always wit hus, guiding and leading us, and helping us at every step throughout the journey of eternal life.
DYING WHILST LIVING
At the time of learning the method of withdrawing the consciousness from the entire body, up to the eye cener, where you come into contact with that Sound, where this process is called "dying" while living.
When death comes, our soul, attention withdraws upwards from the soles of the feet and comes to the eye center. Then only does it leave the body. First the feet become cold, then the legs become cold, then the body becomes cold, but the attention is still in the body and sometimes we are still conscious of it. When the attention is able to withdraw up to the eye center, then only is the body without attention and we die.
By the same process, we have to withdraw our consciousness to the eye center. Whilst living, we have to die, while living, we have to vacate the body and bring the attention to the point betwee and behind the eyes. That is "dying" while living. Unless we are able to withdraw our consciousness also called our awareness to the eye center and attach it to the Sound of Silence within, we do not die whilst living. And unless we die whilst living we do not get everlasting life. If you desire to live, then die before your death. Those who die whilst living and from death come to life again, such a one attains liberation.
The essential difference between ordinary death and dying while living is that the attention with the body is broken. The organs of the body continue to function, and the attention returns to the body at the ened of the meditation time. An adept who has perfect the art of dying while living can leave the body and return to it at will.
After vacating the body and coming to the eye center, the soul's real journey back to Source begins. When the entire life consciousness leaves the lower body and we go through the "north gate" known as the third eye, we are out of the phyical body and we enter the astral world, also known as the world of imagination.
When the attention is functioning below the eyes, we are dead as far the Creator is concerned, but when it is withdrawn and concentrated at the eye center, we become alive to the Creator and are dead as far as the world is concerned. Live on as a living corpose, then you will see the Creator.
When you hear that Sound within, you will hear the unheard and see the unseen, and understand what is misunderstood. But when the inner eye is opened, we shall really see, hear and become alive, and walk straight on the Path leading us back to Source, our Creator.
Before we come to realize the Creator, we have eyes but do not see the Creator, we have ears, but do not hear the Creator. A blind person cannot see what is in his presence. We all know that the Creator is within in everyone of us. The Creator is in every particle of the creation: but we do not see the Creator, neither inside or outside. That is why Adepts, Masters, True leader teachers call us blind.
When that inner eye and inner ear are open, we the Light and we hear the Sound, that Silence, which makes the dead rise.
Learn to fly without wings, journey without feet, without mouth and teeth eat sugar, with eyes closed, behold the inner worlds.
When, by means of concentration with love and committment, under the instructions of a living True leader teacher, we finanally reach our destination in the highest realm of consciousness and merge with the Creator, then we die to live forever.
Prior to that, we are subject to the law of birth and death and even backwards into the lower species, depending on the actions and desires we have involved ourselves in, not only in the present life, but in counteless previous births.
When we reach the eye center, we start living, and when we reach our destination, one with Source, we live forever.
The entire world is afraid of death, through the grace of the Master, whoever dies whilst living, understands the creative power of the Creator, and whoever dies such a death, attains life forever. The Adepts stress the importance of withdrawing the consciousness to the eye center and going within. They all teach that meditation is but a rehearsal to die, inorder to live forever, it is the final goal is reached by dying while still alive. The Masters teachings bring out this point clearly. The whole world keeps dying after death, for no one dies the real death, but the master die a death that will end death and rebirth. You can rise your attention to Source, before death overtakes you and experience permanent peace and bliss whilst living. Those who die whilst living, die to the whole world. Few know how to die. Those who know how to die whilst living, manage with ease how to live in the world without worry, stress or anxiety.
"Through the Sound, imparted by the True leader teacher, I have realized my true self. Whilst still living, I have learned to die, I have no fear of death. Death we overcome whilst we experience it while living. By practicing to die daily, I experience the Creators efforts and presence within and within all living beings.
True leaders and teachers come to the world by effort and forgiveness of the Creator. They do not come to make the world a better place, nor to improve its lot, but to free us from our bonds of attachment and turn our attention toward the Creator. They come to make us bling to this world and give us the sight to see the Creator.
Were it not for the Creators efforts, we would ever even think of our separation from the Creator, nor would we desire to return to Source our Home. But for the Creator's efforts we would neither meet the True leader teacher, nor follow the Path. The Creator's efforts come first. The Creator creates the desire in us to meet the Creator face to face and seek the Creator. The Creator pulls us from within to search for the Creator and with the Creators efforts we develop faith in the True leader teacher.
With the help of that Sound, the Creative Power, we put in the efforts to practice, to attend to meditation with love and committment. Without efforts we could not move one step at any stage. Within ourself we come to realize the true identity of the Master, that Sound, Word made flesh. With efforts of concentration at the eye center, we reach back to the level of the Creator and merge with the Creator, We truely fulfill the purpose of our human life. No longer separated from our Source, we return to our eternal Home of peace and bliss, to be one with our Creator, forever.
When the Creator is forgiving to someone, the Creator bring that person in contact with a living True leader teacher, such a one, though the Sound found within, dies while living and never faces death again.
